I am fairly sure I am genetically predisposed to collecting. Yes, there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I come from a family who just can't help loving to collect things!
From my mum, and before her my grandmother the love of collecting vintage fashion and accessories is something I can't deny. I remember as a child playing with my grandmother's collection of vintage lace and silk evening gloves, and what can I say? I was hooked!
I thought I'd give you a quick peek and my little collection of vintage handbags, and my mother's rather larger collection!
For my mum it started off with beaded evening bags, and soon expanded!
However her current passion is these plastic handbags made from materials like bakelite and lucite.
My own collection is still pretty small, I display them on a shelf in my wardrobe.
It's hard to choose, but if I had to have a favourite I think it would be this white and clear lucite handbag.

Wow. Those bags are all so pretty. I'm obsessed with porcelain dolls. I have a small collection of them. But have to hide them when friends stay over because apparently they're creepy, lol.
